The best Chardonnays are a summertime classic: elegant, food-friendly, easy to dress up for Sunday supper, or down for Friday night pizza. Our winery chef's summer Chardonnay focus is on simplicity with a twist: pairing our favorite noble white grape with pizza. We cooked up these pizzas with Napa Valley Chardonnay in mind, most specifically Far Niente Chardonnay. Because we make our wine with an absence of malolactic fermentation—which retains the grape’s natural acidity—Far Niente Chardonnay’s delightfully forward fruit and bright acidity in youth gently evolve with time to a sophisticated, creamy and rich palate profile.

Our Far Niente Chef’s Favorite Chardonnay-Friendly Pizzas
1) Thinly sliced heirloom tomatoes, fresh burrata, Genova basil, extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar 2) Caramelized onions, black olives and Gruyère cheese 3) Roasted garlic cream sauce, grilled chicken, arugula and cherry tomatoes 4) Basil pesto, brie, rock shrimp and shaved radish 5) Creamy tomato sauce, your favorite 3-cheese blend and roasted summer squash
