Private Events

Situated in one of Far Niente’s grand gardens, the Cabernet Grill offers private event experiences that are interactive and engage all senses. This Napa event space features an outdoor kitchen with a stone pizza oven and built-in tables ideal for food stations, wine tasting or cooking classes. Seating can be arranged for dining or meetings on the Cabernet Grill lawn overlooking our historic winery, vineyards and pond. Seated and standing capacity for this winery venue is 150.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Far Niente’s multi-level stone winery was designed with a charming gathering hall for the ultimate Napa Valley wine dinner. This event space enjoys breathtaking views of Oakville vineyards and the Vaca Mountains from its picturesque balcony. Elegant dining arrangements include a single, long table or rounds. Seating capacity is 40 guests.

The soul of Far Niente Winery is a labyrinth of hillside caves with the ideal temperature and humidity for aging fine wines in barrel and bottle. Prior to or during any private event, we offer guided tours, so your guests can sip and stroll through our historic caves, including the original Far Niente Stone Cellar built in 1885 by John Benson.

Great for tours before or during events

Built in the 1770s and transformed into a hospitality center in 2023, this historic barn features post and beam construction and a stylish farmhouse interior that is conducive to receptions. Intimate seated tastings can also be hosted after-hours. Double doors open to the farmstead’s courtyard with views of our winery barn, historic Sullenger House and estate vineyard. Indoor capacity is 50 for receptions and up to 16 for seated tastings.

This expansive outdoor event space is nestled between the Gleason Barn, farmstead buildings, our modern barn winery and the historic Sullenger House. Our Farmstead Courtyard venue accommodates endless seating arrangements and event styles, from receptions and dinners to lounges and food and wine stations. Two water features, rows of Sycamore and Sevillano olive trees and estate vineyard views add to the charming setting. Receptions can accommodate 200 guests, and seated experiences may host up to 150.

Adjacent to the Sullenger House, this Napa event space is situated amidst our beautiful gardens. It enjoys during the day from towering valley oak trees, as well as lovely views of the historic Victorian and the Sullenger Vineyard’s coveted Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines. Ideal for seated tastings and lunches up to 30 guests.

A Queen Anne Victorian dating back to the 1880s, the Sullenger House was meticulously restored by the Nickels to evoke the romance of the early farmstead. The home’s cellar is a private indoor Napa event space featuring a flexible layout, vintage décor and direct access to the courtyard. It’s perfect for a seated dinner or wine tasting for up to 50 guests. This stunning Victorian also includes two parlor rooms and a wrap-around porch for more intimate gatherings or an unforgettable progressive wine dinner.

Hidden below our modern farmhouse winery, a majestic barrel cellar provides the perfect environment for aging our single-vineyard, single-varietal wines. Prior to or during any private event, we offer guided tours, affording your guests the sensory experience of sipping and strolling amongst the wine barrels and their alluring scent.

This stunning glass room floats above the Bella Union Atrium lounge. Panoramic views of surrounding mountains and estate vineyards greet every guest. The Jewel Box is a magical private event space for a marriage engagement or milestone celebration. Receptions including the adjoining lounge can accommodate 40, and seated dinners can host 12.

An intimate alcove situated between the Belle Epoque Society Lounge and the Jewel Box. This Nook offers a luxurious perch for a private dinner, whether you’re hosting a business meeting to impress over dinner or celebrating a special occasion. This winery venue can also be booked for a celebratory tête-à-tête with private tasting or meal after an engagement proposal in the Jewel Box. Seats a maximum of eight.

Tucked away on the second floor, this secluded room boasts a conference table and connectivity amenities for all of your business meeting needs. In addition to a 72-inch flatscreen TV, wireless projector, USB ports and many electrical outlets, you’ll enjoy seating for up to 10 guests. Our executive chef can prepare a private lunch before, after or during your meeting.

Just beyond Bella Union’s chic Atrium lies the Salon, a private event space for those who love rich, dark colors reminiscent of a silky Cabernet Sauvignon. The room features four banquets, four high-top tables and a wine bar with ample flexible space—all overlooking the winemaker’s cellar. Doors can be closed for complete privacy for daytime or evening events. Seated dinners or tastings can accommodate up to 40 guests.
