Creating an elegantly complex red wine such as a Pinot Noir is truly a labor of love. Nicknamed the “heartbreak grape,” Pinot Noir is challenging to grow, making each successful bottle a remarkable experience to be savored. Pinot Noir wine is a dry red wine, with a light- to medium-body and silky tannins. The first sip will often give way to refreshing red fruits like raspberry, strawberry, and cherry, followed by earthy undertones and subtle spices like clove and nutmeg. Our collection includes both Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and pinot noir grapes from the Sonoma Coast, each lending a distinct flavor that both seasoned and novice wine drinkers can appreciate. High acidity balanced with bright fruitiness allows for versatile food pairing, so couple a glass with grilled salmon, pork ribs, or even a slice of pepperoni pizza. Our Pinot Noir wines are sophisticated and utterly captivating—just like the rugged coastline that shapes them.

Pinot Noir is among the most revered red grapes in the world, known for its silken texture, vibrant red fruit, and a earthy complexity that takes shape in cooler growing regions. EnRoute, part of the Far Niente Wine Estates family, focuses entirely on single-vineyard Pinot Noir from California’s Russian River Valley, one of the great Pinot appellations in the world.
Pinot Noir is a dry red wine. Its lighter body and bright fruit can suggest sweetness on the palate, but the wine is fermented fully dry. What you’re tasting is the grape itself — red cherry, raspberry, forest floor — framed by soft tannins and vibrant acidity. EnRoute Pinot Noir lives in that balance: layered without ever feeling weighty.
Pinot Noir is best served slightly cooler than other reds, between 55 and 60°F (13–15°C). That range preserves the delicate aromatics and keeps the fruit vivid in the glass. A 20-minute chill in the refrigerator before serving works well for EnRoute Pinot Noir, particularly in the warmer months.
Pinot Noir is one of the most versatile reds at the table. Salmon, duck, roasted chicken, lamb, mushroom risotto, and charcuterie all pair excellently with it. The earthy complexity and softer tannins of EnRoute Pinot Noir move easily between lighter proteins and richer, more savory plates, making it an ideal choice for any number of cuisines and any kind of occasion.
