A marriage of fruit from our cooler, bay-influenced vineyards in southern Napa Valley, this classically crafted Chardonnay brings stunning elegance to every occasion. The 2020 vintage is richly aromatic with notes of white fig, and citrus blossom. Captivatingly builds on the palate, progressing from silky notes of honeydew, nectarine and lemon zest to a full finish supported by elegant, toasted oak. Crisp minerality and juicy acidity lift and support the generous fruit and provide the framework for graceful aging. This wine will continue to gain richness and complexity in the bottle and glass.

The warm 2020 Napa season was followed by cool spring rains, leading to an August-September Chardonnay harvest.

The 2020 Napa Valley growing season began with warm temperatures and low rainfall. Cooler weather and light rains in late March were followed by warm, dry conditions. Summer’s cool mornings, sunny days, and low humidity resulted in lighter vegetative growth, small canopies, and a small crop load. Despite mid-August wildfires, cool coastal winds protected our Chardonnay vines. Harvest began on August 25 in Coombsville and was successfully completed by September 17.

“With a mineral-driven, floral opening, this youthful wine is tight in texture, with light flavors of preserved lemon, apple and butter. A note of salty stone continues the mineral theme, the wine well balanced and complex in structure. ”
