Mild March budbreak, heat management, and August’s mild temps led to bright, focused flavors.
The 2022 growing season began mildly with March budbreak. By May, vines showed strong growth and average yields ahead of mid-July veraison. Despite a few summer heat spikes, proactive vineyard management, including shade cloths and misting systems, maintained great quality. Mild to moderate August temperatures created optimal conditions for bright and focused flavors.
