Innovation in the Back of the House

Behind our Bella Union Winery Estate vineyards, salmon and steelhead are on the rise, otters are returning to the river, and the land is healing in ways that benefit both nature and Napa Valley's future.

Thanks to the leadership of Director of Vineyard Operations, John McCarthy, Far Niente Wine Estates has donated almost 10 acres of our Rutherford estate to Napa’s Flood Control District in support of The Bale Slough–Bear Creek Restoration in Rutherford, Napa Valley. This project addresses long-standing ecological issues across 14.6 acres of habitat through floodplain reconnection, native plantings, and erosion control to improve ecosystem health and fish habitat.
